About
Biana Borukhovich is the founder of a New York City law practice. She advises businesses and individuals on fashion law, intellectual property, and related corporate matters. Her practice includes trademarks, copyrights, business contracts, incorporations, and mergers and acquisitions. She helps brands, entrepreneurs, and business owners address legal questions involving creative assets, commercial relationships, and business growth.
Borukhovich earned her J.D. from Touro Law School in 2010, where she developed an interest in fashion law. She also received a B.A. from Pace University. Her legal education included study abroad in China with a focus on Chinese criminal law. This background supports a practice addressing the interaction between intellectual property rights, commercial transactions, and the business decisions facing fashion and other creative enterprises.
Before establishing her practice in 2011, Borukhovich gained experience with H&M’s in-house legal team, Bluestar Alliance, the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, and private law firms. Her work includes helping clients register and protect trademarks, address copyright concerns, draft agreements, and organize business entities. She also advises on business acquisitions and the legal arrangements that shape ownership of brands and creative work.
Borukhovich has chaired committees involving trademark licensing, intellectual property, and fashion law within the Brooklyn Bar Association. She has written and presented on fashion and intellectual property law and was recognized as Legal Advisor of the Year by 20/20 Startups in 2018. Biana Borukhovich combines business-law guidance with an emphasis on brand protection and the legal issues that affect creative entrepreneurs.
