Bhanu Slathia

Bhanu Slathia is an Associate Attorney at Roney & Knupp, LLC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He brings more than seven years of international legal experience to the firm’s civil litigation practice and represents individuals and businesses in a range of legal matters. His work includes civil litigation, small claims, landlord-tenant matters, personal injury, traffic ticket defense, real estate, and estate planning. Slathia earned an LL.M. in International Lawyering from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2021. He previously received his LL.B. from the University of Jammu Law School in Jammu & Kashmir, India, in 2013. His legal education in both India and the United States supports a cross-cultural approach to legal analysis, dispute resolution, and client service across a broad civil practice.

Before joining Roney & Knupp, Slathia established and managed his own litigation practice in India, where he represented individuals and businesses in civil, criminal, and family law matters at the trial and appellate levels. He also served as legal counsel for the Government of India, handling arbitration and dispute resolution matters. This experience strengthened his ability to assess complex legal issues, develop practical strategies, and guide clients through contested matters.

Bhanu Slathia is known for a calm demeanor, practical problem-solving, and a client-focused approach. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Bar Council of India, the American Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association of Chicago, and the Wisconsin Asian American Bar Association.
