Beverly Knapp Anderson

Beverly Knapp Anderson is a principal at Nuzzo & Roberts in Hartford with a civil litigation practice spanning Employment & Labor Law, Medical Malpractice & Hospital Liability Defense, and Professional Malpractice & Insurance Defense. She has more than three decades of trial and appellate experience. Her academic record was followed by a federal judicial clerkship and a career focused on civil defense, employment disputes, professional liability, medical malpractice, appellate work, and related regulatory proceedings.

Anderson represents employers in workplace litigation and advises health care providers in medical malpractice, licensing, and audit matters. Her professional liability work has included matters involving dentists, oral surgeons, attorneys, and real estate agents, while her insurance practice includes coverage disputes. She has appeared in the Connecticut Appellate Court, Connecticut Supreme Court, and US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Her trial experience includes dispositive motion practice and first- and second-chair roles in more than a dozen trials.

Beverly Knapp Anderson previously clerked for Judge Warren W. Eginton of the US District Court for the District of Connecticut. She participates in the Connecticut Bar Association and has received professional recognition that includes a Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished rating and the Connecticut Law Tribune’s Women in Law High Achiever recognition in 2008. Her current practice combines employment litigation with professional and medical liability defense, insurance issues, regulatory matters, and appellate advocacy for employers and professionals.
