Beth Bertelson is a highly respected attorney with over 30 years of experience in employment law. She is dedicated to advocating for employee rights and handling cases related to discrimination, retaliation, harassment, severance agreements, and executive contracts. As a Certified Employment Law Specialist by the MSBA, she has a deep understanding of workplace conflicts and legal solutions.
Bertelson is also a mediator and investigator in employment disputes and is recognized as a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. Her outstanding legal work has earned her numerous honors, including Super Lawyers for 15 years, Top 50 Women Minnesota, and U.S. News Best Lawyers.
Bertelson holds a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, which she earned in 1987. During law school, she served as Co-Chair of the Women’s Law Caucus, demonstrating early leadership in legal advocacy. Before law school, she completed her B.A. in Political Science from St. Olaf College in 1984.
Throughout her career, Bertelson has successfully represented clients in workplace disputes, ensuring their rights are protected under the law. She is admitted to practice in Minnesota, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her legal knowledge and experience have led to favorable outcomes for employees facing workplace challenges.
Beyond client representation, Beth Bertelson actively contributes to the legal and professional community. She has served as Vice President of the Minnesota Division of the National Employment Lawyers Association and has been a board member of various non-profit organizations. She also educates other legal professionals through publications and speaking engagements on employment law matters.
