About
Benjamin R. Zimmermann has built a career defined by courtroom success, winning some of the largest personal injury verdicts in Massachusetts history. His trial work has spanned catastrophic medical malpractice, defective products, construction site accidents, and airline negligence. In one year alone, he secured two record-breaking wrongful death and malpractice verdicts that set legal benchmarks in the state.
Ben pursued his B.A. at Washington University in St. Louis in 1996 before earning his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1999. Shortly after law school, he began his career in New York at a large firm but soon shifted his focus toward representing individuals in personal injury matters. Admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and federal courts, his educational and professional background laid the groundwork for decades of client advocacy.
Ben has consistently obtained substantial outcomes, including a $20.6 million wrongful death verdict in Aleo v. Toys “R” Us, Inc., and a $30.55 million medical malpractice verdict for a child injured at birth. These achievements reflect his focus on cases involving life-altering injuries and disputes over insurance coverage. His appellate work has also shaped Massachusetts law, further strengthening his reputation as a leading trial lawyer.
Ben has been recognized nationally and locally with honors such as selection to The Best Lawyers in America across multiple practice areas from 2010 to 2026, “Lawyer of the Year – Medical Malpractice, Plaintiff” in 2022 and 2024, repeated listings in “Top 100 Massachusetts Super Lawyers,” and recognition by Boston Magazine Top Lawyers in recent years. He is also a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Benjamin R. Zimmermann continues to dedicate his practice to representing injured individuals and their families. Through thorough preparation and relentless advocacy, he provides clients not only with strong representation but also with the reassurance that their voices will be heard in court. His work remains focused on ensuring accountability and justice in the most challenging personal injury cases.
