Austin Barnum is a dedicated legal advocate who defends individuals accused of crimes and those whose constitutional rights have been violated. His work spans from misdemeanors to serious felony cases, including first-degree murder, where he provides unwavering representation to protect client freedoms and uphold justice.

Austin began his education with a Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College in Los Angeles. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law, graduating first in his class with Summa Cum Laude honors. His academic accomplishments reflect his strong foundation in advocacy and legal reasoning.

Austin’s legal journey started at the State of Nevada’s Office of the Attorney General, where he became a Senior Deputy Attorney General. Austin was actively involved in trial advocacy during law school. He participated in the Misdemeanor Clinic as a practicing law student, successfully defending clients. He earned top honors in the Nevada Justice Association’s Mock Trial Tournament and served on the nationally competitive Society of Advocates trial team.

Austin also contributed to student development by establishing and coaching the Black Law Students’ Association mock trial team, leading them to a second-place regional finish. He placed in both the Client Counseling and Nevada Law Journal’s Writing Competitions, demonstrating strong communication and research skills in legal contexts.

Austin Barnum is a member of several legal organizations and currently serves in the United States Army Reserves as a commissioned officer and paratrooper. His military experience strengthens his leadership and discipline, traits that consistently guide his courtroom approach and client relationships.
