Aubrey Dicus, Jr. is a seasoned trial attorney and past President and CEO of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A. With over 40 years of legal experience, he has earned a reputation for excellence in litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense across Florida. Mr. Dicus brings a broad skill set to the courtroom, having handled a wide range of cases including auto accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, white-collar crimes, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Dicus received his B.A. in Economics from Emory University in 1971 and earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1974.

Mr. Dicus brings a broad, battle-tested litigation background to every case. In personal injury law, he has secured successful results in high-value truck and car accident claims, product liability cases, and complex medical malpractice lawsuits. In criminal defense, he has defended clients facing charges from capital murder to serious white-collar and financial crimes. On the civil side, he has handled sophisticated contract disputes, probate and estate litigation, and large-scale class action antitrust cases—representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

Mr. Dicus has represented individuals, government agencies, and municipalities, including the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department. His work has resulted in multimillion-dollar verdicts and favorable outcomes in high-profile cases. In addition to practicing law, Aubrey Dicus, Jr. has played an active role in shaping the legal community. He is a past President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Pinellas County Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association. He also helped found the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
