Aubrey Dicus, Jr. is a seasoned trial attorney and past President and CEO of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A. With over 40 years of legal experience, he has earned a reputation for excellence in litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense across Florida. Mr. Dicus brings a broad skill set to the courtroom, having handled a wide range of cases including auto accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, white-collar crimes, and commercial litigation.
Mr. Dicus received his B.A. in Economics from Emory University in 1971 and earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1974.
Mr. Dicus’s litigation background is extensive and diverse. In personal injury law, he has successfully handled high-stakes cases involving truck and car accidents, product liability, and medical malpractice. In criminal defense, he has represented clients in cases ranging from capital murder to serious financial crimes. On the civil side, Mr. Dicus has worked on complex contract disputes, probate and estate litigation, and class action antitrust matters, for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Mr. Dicus has represented individuals, government agencies, and municipalities, including the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department. His work has resulted in multimillion-dollar verdicts and favorable outcomes in high-profile cases. In addition to practicing law, Aubrey Dicus, Jr. has played an active role in shaping the legal community. He is a past President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Pinellas County Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association. He also helped found the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. His service as Master of the Bench in multiple Inns of Court reflects his commitment to professionalism and ethics.
