Ashley H. Wisneski

Ashley H. Wisneski is counsel at Tenenbaum Law Group and has two decades of experience advising nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions. Ashley provides strategic counsel on federal and state compliance, organizational policies, nonprofit governance, employment matters, and litigation. Her work draws on in-house higher education roles and government service, giving her practical experience with the legal and operational issues that colleges, universities, and mission-driven organizations face.

Ashley earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. in History from Yale University. Her education supports a practice that combines regulatory analysis, institutional counseling, and dispute management. She applies that background when reviewing contracts, employment questions, governance matters, student-related issues, real estate concerns, research activities, and other legal problems that arise within higher education and nonprofit organizations operating under layered federal and state requirements.

Ashley previously served as University Counsel at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and as Associate General Counsel at Johnson & Wales University. She also spent 11 years in Massachusetts government, including work with the Department of Higher Education and the Attorney General’s Non-Profit Organizations/Public Charities Division. Her responsibilities included compliance, enforcement, institutional mergers, acquisitions and closures, investigations, employment matters, contracts, and litigation affecting educational and charitable organizations.
