Ashley H. Connell

Ashley H. Connell is a dedicated labor and employment attorney at Woods Aitken. She represents public and private employers in all areas of employment law, with a focus on preventing workplace disputes and ensuring compliance with federal and state labor regulations. Her legal work includes defending employers against discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims. She also handles non-compete and unfair competition disputes, as well as wage and hour collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state wage laws.

Ashley earned her J.D. with the highest distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif. During law school, she served as the executive editor for the Nebraska Law Review and gained hands-on experience representing low-income clients in a civil clinical law program. She also externed for Judge C. Arlen Beam of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Ashley received multiple honors, including the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Evidence, the Excellence in Legal Writing Award, and the Best Brief Award. She also holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, graduating summa cum laude.
