Asghar A. Syed is an experienced litigator who represents businesses across various industries, including healthcare, education, transportation, and franchising. He focuses on solving complex legal problems through a strategic and assertive approach. From the early stages of conflict through trial or arbitration, he is known for being both thorough and persistent.

Asghar earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 2004. Asghar later obtained his M.B.A. and J.D. from the University of Florida in 2009. During law school, he was recognized with a book award in legal drafting and honors in legal research and writing. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2010.

Asghar’s legal practice centers on complex business and employment litigation. He has handled cases involving fraud, contracts, corporate governance, and business torts. His work also includes defending employers in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation. He represents clients in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration.

Asghar is recognized by peers and publications for his litigation skills. He has been named in The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation from 2022 through 2025. He was also selected as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers and listed among Florida Trend’s “Up & Comers” and Jacksonville Business Journal’s “40 under 40.”

Beyond the courtroom, Asghar A. Syed is deeply engaged in public service and civic leadership. He helped co-found TEDxJacksonville and has served on its board. He holds leadership roles with the Jacksonville Bar Association, Baptist Health System, and Leadership Jacksonville. In 2024, he became Chairman of the Board at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, where he has served since 2017.
