April McLaughlin

April McLaughlin is an attorney whose practice focuses primarily on estate planning and probate law. Since establishing her private practice in Harrisonville, Missouri, in 2005, she has helped individuals and families prepare estate plans, administer estates, and navigate probate matters. She also assists clients with related legal issues, working to provide practical guidance tailored to each family’s circumstances. Throughout her career, she has handled more than 100 bench trials.

April earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Business and Political Science from Columbia College in 1998 before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2004. Her education provided the foundation for a legal career focused on estate planning, probate, and client advocacy.

April began her private practice in Harrisonville in 2005 and has remained active in both the legal profession and her community. She serves as a board member and past secretary of the Cass County Bar Association and chairs its Community Outreach Committee. She is also vice chairperson of the Harrisonville Historic Preservation Commission, a founding member and past president, secretary, and treasurer of Love the Harrisonville Square, a member of the Harrisonville Board of Zoning Adjustment, and is involved with the Cass County Historical Society and the Cass County Council on Aging.
