Anthony J. Falangetti has built a long legal career focused on criminal law, trial work, and client defense. He brings more than 30 years of legal experience, including many years as a prosecutor before moving into defense work. His background helps him understand both sides of a criminal case.

Anthony earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Law and Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1991. He earned his Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, in 1994, where he graduated with honors and joined the Traynor Honors Society.

Anthony began his legal career by clerking for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and writing appellate briefs for the Attorney General’s Office. He later became a Deputy District Attorney, gaining courtroom experience in Torrance, Long Beach, Inglewood, Inglewood Juvenile, and downtown Los Angeles criminal courts.

Anthony spent 13 years with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. During that time, he worked for nearly 10 years in the Hardcore Gang Unit. He prosecuted more than 40 murder cases, brought 24 of them before juries, and tried over 60 felony cases involving serious criminal charges.

Anthony also handled cases involving burglary, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, narcotics possession, and narcotics distribution. Beyond courtroom work, he helped the City of Lakewood address more than 90 slumlord properties. He also created a three-part training program to help landlords understand legal duties.

Anthony has received commendations from the U.S. Congress, the California State Senate, the California State Assembly, and the County of Los Angeles. His recognition also includes the Distinguished Service Award, City of Lakewood, Award of Appreciation from L.A.P.D. Newton Division, Prosecutor of the Month, and Deputy District Attorney of the Month.

Anthony J. Falangetti later moved into criminal defense, using his trial background to guide people facing serious charges. He has handled high-profile matters and helped clients seek dismissals, reduced pressure, and stronger defense strategies. His work reflects careful preparation, courtroom skill, and a steady focus on protecting clients’ rights.
