Staycie R. Sena

Staycie R. Sena is a criminal defense lawyer in Orange County and a certified criminal law specialist. She helps people facing DUIs, assault and battery, domestic violence, child abuse, theft, embezzlement, forgery, drug crimes, sex crimes, and other felony or misdemeanor charges with focused defense.

Staycie earned her B.A. from the University of California at Riverside in 1993, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1996, becoming one of the school’s youngest graduates, and passed the California Bar Exam on her first attempt.

Staycie began her legal career as an associate at several international law firms. She later became a deputy public defender with the Orange County Public Defender’s office, where she defended people during a time when criminal laws in California were becoming more severe and complex.

Staycie built a strong name in Orange County criminal defense through careful case work. She prepared detailed motions, researched writs, and handled appeals of legal decisions. In 2001, she tried seventeen jury trials, more than any other lawyer in Orange County that year.

Staycie has handled thousands of criminal cases over nearly thirty years of practice. Her work has involved domestic violence, spousal abuse, child neglect, shoplifting, fraud, theft, DUI, drug use, drug sales, drug paraphernalia, sex crimes, and violent crime matters, including assault and battery cases.
