Anthony Cecala

Anthony Cecala is a criminal law attorney with more than fifteen years of focused legal experience. His practice is concentrated on criminal cases, serious traffic offenses, and protective orders. He brings trial knowledge, negotiation skills, and steady attention to detail to clients facing serious charges.

Anthony graduated from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law in 1995. After graduation, he worked in Washington D.C. on domestic violence cases. This early legal work helped build his foundation in criminal law, case review, courtroom preparation, and advocacy for people involved in difficult legal matters.

Anthony was appointed as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Frederick County in 1999. In that role, he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor cases in District, Circuit, and Juvenile Courts. This work gave him strong experience with criminal procedure, evidence, court hearings, negotiations, and case strategy.

Anthony later joined Marc Ward in criminal defense practice after handling many types of criminal cases for the State’s Attorney’s Office. His experience from both sides of the table helps him review cases carefully, understand prosecution methods, and prepare strong defense strategies for clients facing criminal charges.
