Anne E. Furniss is a partner at Furniss Shearer & Leineweber, where she focuses her legal practice on estate planning law and administration. She works with individuals and families to help them prepare for the future and manage important estate-related legal matters. Her practice includes wills, trusts, probate, guardianship, and conservatorship. Anne is committed to guiding clients through complex legal processes with clarity and care. Through her work, she helps clients protect their assets and ensure their wishes are honored.
Anne earned her B.A. from Willamette University in 2002. She later attended Willamette University College of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2006. During law school, she focused much of her studies on estate planning and elder law. This early focus helped shape the direction of her legal career. Her education provided a strong foundation in the laws that guide estate planning and the protection of seniors and vulnerable individuals.
Anne was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2006 and began practicing law after graduating from law school. She was admitted to federal practice in 2007 through the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. She is also licensed to practice law in Texas. Throughout her career, she has concentrated on helping clients plan their estates and manage probate matters. Her legal work often involves assisting families during important life transitions and ensuring that legal documents are clear and properly prepared.
Anne E. Furniss has also dedicated time to community service through legal and civic organizations. She has volunteered with Oregon Legal Aid’s Senior Law Project, providing legal assistance to low-income seniors. She also served as a board member for Elders in Action and currently serves on the Mt. Hood Community College Foundation Board. Through both her legal practice and volunteer work, Anne continues to support individuals and families in navigating estate and elder law matters.
