About

Ann Knuckles Mahoney is an attorney with Epstein Becker Green who advises employers on employment, labor, and workforce management matters. Her practice includes employee handbooks, workplace policies, wage and hour compliance, worker classification, and employment litigation. She assists management in disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and compensation. Her work also covers labor relations, arbitration, unfair labor practice charges, and collective bargaining negotiations involving employer clients.

Ann earned her J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 2015 and her B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 2007, concentrating in Management and Global Analysis. In law school she edited the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial, and Commercial Law and received an academic prize for excellence in labor law. Her studies and prior human resources experience inform her employer-focused legal advice.

Before practicing law, Ann worked in human resources roles that included HR analysis, diversity recruiting, and generalist responsibilities. During law school she interned for a federal district judge on employment discrimination matters and completed an externship in the employment law division of the U.S. Postal Service. Her practice now includes assisting employers with workforce decisions, internal policies, claims defense, workplace compliance, and the legal aspects of labor-management relationships.

Ann has been named in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for labor and employment-related work and in the Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for employer-side employment law. She also participated in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Pathfinder program. Her combined perspective in human resources and law is valuable for assessing workplace risks and implementation concerns. Ann Knuckles Mahoney works to connect employment obligations with employers’ operational decisions.
