Angel earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami in 1985, graduating with honors. He then attended Florida State University School of Law, where he graduated in 1987. His education provided a solid foundation for his long and successful legal career.

After law school, Angel became a member of the Florida Bar Association in 1988. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Bankruptcy Division of the same district court.

Angel began his legal career with the law firm of Stansell & Rice in 1988. There, he focused on personal injury and insurance-defense litigation. After two years, he became counsel for Union General Insurance Company, gaining valuable experience working directly within the insurance industry.
