Andy Haas is an estate planning lawyer and the founder of Haas & Spigelmyer, Inc., focused on wills, estate planning, guardianship, and conservatorship. Early in his legal path, he earned the Ohio Public Defender Award for his work with the Ohio Public Defender Agency. Andy earned a B.S. in Math and a B.A. in Criminology from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1983. In 1986, he received his J.D. from Ohio State University Law School. He later continued advanced legal study by earning an LL.M. from the University of South Africa in 1996 and another LL.M. from Oxford University in 2005. This broad education supports his thoughtful legal work today.

Andy began his law career with the Alaska Public Defender Agency, where he served from 1986 to 1992. In that role, he worked closely with people facing difficult legal problems and helped protect their rights through the justice system. In 1992, he founded Haas & Spigelmyer, Inc., in Homer, Alaska. Over years of practice, he has continued to serve the community by guiding clients through important legal decisions, especially in matters that require planning, protection, and clear long-term support.
