His practice spans Alaska Native corporate and tribal law, appellate law, bankruptcy and creditor rights, civil litigation, environmental and natural resources, housing, insurance litigation, liability defense, and municipal law. Andy has litigated cases involving Alaska Native subsistence hunting and fishing rights at multiple levels of Alaska state and federal courts. He also writes regularly on developments in Alaska Native case law and has published scholarship on environmental and natural resources topics.
Andy Erickson is admitted in Alaska and Montana and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska, the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. His combination of appellate, environmental, municipal, and Alaska Native law experience helps clients address disputes that may involve administrative agencies, constitutional questions, natural resources, or government authority.
