Andrew J. Wyman

Andrew J. Wyman is a Bellevue tax attorney whose practice focuses on federal tax controversy and litigation. He represents individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service and litigates federal tax matters in the United States Tax Court. His work includes IRS collection defense, audit defense, appeals, offers in compromise, payroll tax issues, penalty matters, tax liens and levies, refund claims, and other disputes involving federal tax assessments and collection activity.

Andrew earned an LL.M. in Taxation and an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center. He previously earned a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law and a B.A. in Business Administration with finance and economics study from Eastern Washington University. Andrew began private practice after working for the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service, where he litigated cases in the United States Tax Court and advised internally on audit and collection matters. He uses prior government experience to assess how federal tax disputes develop.

Andrew J. Wyman is an active Washington lawyer and is also admitted in New York, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the U.S. Tax Court. His current practice is tax law rather than general lawsuits and disputes. He helps taxpayers evaluate IRS positions, choose procedural remedies, prepare supporting records, pursue administrative review, and litigate when necessary to challenge or resolve federal tax liabilities.
