About
Andrew Deiss has over two decades of litigation and trial experience, representing plaintiffs and defendants in criminal, civil, and appellate matters in both state and federal courts. His work spans complex disputes for individuals, major Utah corporations, and Fortune 500 and 100 companies.
Andrew earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 1995, where he served on the University of Chicago Legal Forum. Andrew also holds a Master of Arts in Legal History from the University of Chicago and completed Ph.D. oral examinations in U.S. History. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Yale University in 1986.
Recognized as one of Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business Magazine for over a decade, Andrew has also been named a Mountain States Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters since 2010 and honored as a Top 100 Mountain States Lawyer. Best Lawyers in America named him Antitrust Lawyer of the Year in Salt Lake City for 2016. His accolades also include a “Superb” rating on Avvo and repeated listings in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Lawyers and Best Law Firms.
In addition to his legal practice, Andrew Deiss is an adjunct professor at the University of Utah Honors College and has been an instructor at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy for more than ten years. His published works include law review articles and other writings, with one article cited twice by the U.S. Supreme Court.
