About

Andrea Driggs is a partner at Holland & Hart with offices listed in Phoenix and Anchorage. Andrea advises mining and energy clients on environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, natural resources issues, and project development. Her practice covers critical minerals, conventional and renewable energy, contaminated site remediation, and cross-jurisdictional matters, helping clients move projects forward while addressing complex federal and state requirements.

Andrea earned a J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif, an M.Sc. from the University of London’s London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and a B.S. from Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude. Her multidisciplinary education supports detailed analysis of environmental regulation, technical project issues, and risk across major energy and mining matters.

Andrea’s work includes securing and defending permits, environmental due diligence for significant transactions, and reviews involving NEPA, the Clean Water Act, and the National Historic Preservation Act. She has advised mining companies, renewable energy developers, and other project proponents on solar, wind, battery storage, mine development, remediation, release reporting, water quality issues, and regulatory matters involving multiple government agencies.

Andrea Driggs has been recognized by Best Lawyers for environmental law and environmental litigation and has held leadership roles within mining and environmental organizations. Andrea previously chaired mining and oil and gas industry groups at another major firm. Her combination of regulatory, transactional, and litigation experience helps clients evaluate permitting risks, structure projects, and respond effectively when environmental issues become contested.
