Andrea C. Martinez is the founder and owner of Martinez Immigration Law LLC in Kansas City, Missouri. A passionate immigration attorney, she handles a full spectrum of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, naturalization, removal defense, and humanitarian visas such as VAWA and U Visas.
Andrea earned her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law in 2007. She holds a B.A. in Cross-Cultural Services and an A.S. in Broadcasting from John Brown University, graduating magna cum laude. She is licensed to practice law in Missouri and is fluent in Spanish.
Before founding her firm, Andrea served as a federal judicial law clerk to Judge Eric G. Bruggink at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She also worked with International Justice Mission in Guatemala, aiding in the prosecution of child sex offenders, and later clerked for six immigration judges at the Arlington Immigration Court.
Andrea is recognized for her profound commitment to immigrant rights, providing compassionate and effective legal representation to clients from around the world. Her journey into immigration law was personal—helping her Honduran husband obtain legal status—and it cemented her calling to serve immigrants.
Andrea has held leadership roles within the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Missouri-Kansas Chapter, serving as Chair, Vice Chair, and Immediate Past Chair. Her work and leadership reflect her unwavering dedication to empowering immigrant communities and upholding human rights through legal advocacy.
