Andre G. Coudrain

Andre G. Coudrain is an employment lawyer in Hammond, Louisiana, with a broad civil practice that includes business, successions, commercial law, and municipal legal matters. He has practiced law in Louisiana since 1983 and has served as City Attorney for Hammond since 2003, advising the mayor, city council, boards, and commissions on legal issues affecting local government.

During his undergraduate years, he held several leadership roles, including Student Government Association President, SGA Vice President, Circle K President, and elected student member to the Board of Trustees for State Colleges and Universities in Louisiana.

Mr. Coudrain was a founding member of his firm in 1989 and has built a career combining private civil practice with public service. He served on the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors from 1996 to 2014, including terms as chairman, vice chairman, and committee chair. His admissions include the Louisiana state courts, federal district courts in Louisiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Northern District of Texas.
