Anders Gillis

Anders Gillis is a labor and employment attorney whose practice centers on helping employers manage workplace issues and reduce legal risk. He advises both public and private-sector clients on a wide range of employment matters, including discrimination and harassment claims, disability accommodations, employee leave requirements, wage and hour concerns, hiring decisions, performance management, terminations, and workforce reductions. Anders earned a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 2013. His legal education provided the foundation for a career dedicated to employment law and workplace compliance. He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and is involved with the Labor & Employment Law Section and the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association. Before returning to private practice, he served as in-house employment counsel for a national mortgage bank with employees located in more than 25 states, giving him valuable insight into multi-state employment challenges.

Anders Gillis also shares his knowledge through employment law writing, including his book, “Employment Law & Remote Work,” and an employment law blog.
