Amparo McCormick

Amparo McCormick is an attorney with Business Law Group’s litigation practice group. She focuses on business and corporate law, commercial and business litigation, and bankruptcy. Her work is guided by client satisfaction, careful planning, and strong advocacy. She helps clients handle complex legal issues with clear advice and steady support.

Amparo earned her LL.B Degree in Law and B.BA Degree in Business Administration from the University of Valencia, Spain. She later earned her LL.M from the William S. Richardson School of Law in Hawai’i in 2014. She also earned her J.D. from the same law school in 2016.

During law school, Amparo served as a research assistant, joined the Richardson Scholar Advocates Program, and externed with the Honorable Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald of the Supreme Court of Hawai‘i for legal experience.

Amparo later joined a prominent law firm in Honolulu, Hawai’i, where she practiced for several years. She focused on real estate, commercial, and bankruptcy litigation. She advised and represented lenders, debtors, landlords and tenants, and creditors in many industries, helping them manage serious disputes and legal challenges with care.

Amparo also served as a judicial law clerk in two jurisdictions. She worked for the Honorable Robert J. Faris at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawai‘i. She later clerked for the Honorable Magistrate Judge F. Keith Ball (ret.) at the United States District Court for Mississippi.
