Martha Novy-Broderick

Martha Novy-Broderick is a respected Maine attorney focused on civil, commercial, corporate, and business law. She founded Business Law Centers in Lincoln in 2007 and continues to lead the practice today. Her work is based on practical guidance, dependable service, and careful support for business clients.

Martha attended Cornell University in 1978 for general education in chemistry and economics. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Maine in Orono in 1980. In 1983, she completed her Juris Doctor at Western New England College School of Law.

Martha began her legal career in 1983 with Broderick and Broderick, where she practiced until 2007. That same year, she opened the Law Offices of Martha Novy Broderick. Since 1996, she has also served as a senior instructor in business law at the University of Maine.

Martha has received several awards for service and leadership. She earned the Lew Vafiades Public Service Award from the Penobscot Bar Association in 2012. She received the Katahdin Counsel Award for service to the Edlerly from the Maine Supreme Court in 2014.

In 2015, Martha received the Eleanor Roosevelt Award for Economic development from Common Eastport Maine. These honors reflect her work in law, education, and public service. They also show her long record of helping people, businesses, and communities through steady professional service.

Martha Novy-Broderick remains active in respected legal groups. She has belonged to the Maine State Bar Association since 1983 and the Northern Penobscot Bar Association since 1990. Since 1992, she has also been a member of the Commercial Law League of America.
