About
Amber E. Willow is a Senior Litigation Attorney and member of the Cordell Appellate Practice Division whose work focuses on family law. She represents clients in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, asset and property division, spousal support, legal separation, prenuptial agreements, protection orders, modifications, and family-law appeals. Her practice includes negotiated settlements and contested litigation, with attention to protecting client rights and responding promptly when delay can affect family, property, or parenting interests.
Willow earned a Juris Doctor from Phoenix School of Law, graduating second in her class, summa cum laude, and receiving Order of the Quill recognition. She served as Editor-in-Chief and previously Senior Technical Editor of the Phoenix Law Review. She earned a B.A. in Anthropology from San Francisco State University and was named to the Dean’s List. Her academic work and law-review leadership strengthened the research, writing, and analytical skills central to litigation and appellate practice.
Willow completed judicial clerkships for Judge Samuel Thumma and Judge Downie, gaining direct experience with appellate procedure, legal analysis, and judicial decision-making. In family-law practice, she handles disputes that can involve parenting arrangements, property, support, enforcement, and post-decree issues. Her appellate role adds experience with written advocacy and review of trial-court decisions. She approaches matters by evaluating settlement possibilities while remaining prepared to litigate when contested proceedings are necessary to protect a client’s position.
Amber E. Willow has been licensed in Arizona since 2014. Her current role combines family-law litigation with appellate work, giving clients support at several stages of a dispute. She brings strong academic credentials, judicial-clerkship experience, and practical family-law advocacy to cases that require careful analysis and timely action. Her work is centered on helping clients understand their legal options, prepare for negotiation or court, and address the financial and parenting issues that shape life after separation or divorce.
