Amanda C. Thorpe is Of Counsel with a practice focused on family law. She was admitted to the Oregon bar in 2006 and has built a career in legal practice, service, teaching, and leadership. Her work reflects steady advocacy, clear guidance, and strong knowledge of Oregon family law matters.
Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. She served as Senior Associate Editor of the Oregon Law Review in 2004 and 2006. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Oregon Honors College in 2001, graduating magna cum laude.
Amanda has shared her legal knowledge through writing, editing, and speaking. She served as an Oregon Law Review editor from 2003 to 2006. She presented for PLF Learning the Ropes CLE from 2020 to 2024 and the OSB Family Law Conference in 2024.
Amanda’s professional honors include the Zonta Rose Day Award for Public Service and an Avvo Rating of 10.0 as a Top Attorney. She also reviewed and authored PLF Family Law Practice Aides in 2021 and 2023, showing her commitment to practical education and useful family law resources.

She has served with the Multnomah Bar Association, Oregon Child Support Work Group, OSB Family Law Executive Committee, and Oregon Women Lawyers.
Amanda C. Thorpe previously served as Judge Pro Tempore from 2017 to 2020. She was a partner at Hughes, Rote, Brouhard & Thorpe and an associate at Hughes, Rote & Brouhard. Her family law background includes practice, leadership, public service, education, and long-term professional involvement in Oregon.
