About
Altagracia B. Pierre-Outerbridge is the founder and principal attorney of Outerbridge Law P.C., a New York City firm established in 2019. She focuses on real estate law, particularly landlord-tenant litigation and related transactional matters, while also handling immigration cases. Pierre-Outerbridge represents both property owners and renters, helping clients protect property rights, respond to housing disputes, and navigate court proceedings in New York Supreme Court and Housing Court.
Pierre-Outerbridge earned her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law in 2006 as a C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship recipient. She received a B.S. in Biology and French from Manhattan College in 2002, where she was a Modern Foreign Language Scholarship recipient and Branigan Scholar. She later completed an M.B.A. in Taxation at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business in 2010, strengthening her understanding of financial and business issues related to real estate.
Her housing practice includes month-to-month holdovers, nuisance and owner-use proceedings, licensee cases, succession claims, non-primary-residence disputes, rent-overcharge claims, nonpayment matters, harassment allegations, repair cases, and tenant buyouts. Before founding her firm, Pierre-Outerbridge represented clients from initial intake through trial, developing substantial litigation experience. She now applies that background to advocate for landlords seeking to protect their investments and tenants facing eviction or other housing-related challenges.
Altagracia B. Pierre-Outerbridge is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Her professional memberships include the New York City Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Council of Urban Real Estate. She also speaks French, Creole, and Spanish, allowing her to communicate with clients from varied backgrounds while providing practical guidance in real estate and immigration matters.
