Allen Press

Allen Press is Of Counsel at Jacobson Press P.C. in Clayton, Missouri. During his active legal practice, he focused on business litigation, civil litigation, class actions, appeals, corporate transactions, automobile dealer disputes, and union matters. Press represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial cases across the United States, including disputes involving contracts, construction projects, fraud, fiduciary duties, product liability, and motor vehicle franchises.

Press earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1991 and his B.S. from Missouri State University in 1988. He began his legal career as a law clerk to Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice Edward D. Robertson Jr. He later practiced complex commercial litigation and product liability defense at a predecessor of Thompson Coburn before joining Green Jacobson and eventually helping establish Jacobson Press.

Press served as lead counsel in significant commercial and labor matters. He represented a class of nearly 2,300 former TWA pilots in a duty of fair representation case that resulted in a $53 million settlement after a successful liability trial. His experience also includes automobile dealership disputes, construction litigation, business torts, employment matters, and fraud claims. Representative outcomes include multimillion-dollar judgments and successful arbitration and federal court proceedings for commercial clients.

Allen Press is admitted in Missouri and Illinois and before numerous federal appellate and district courts. He is no longer in active legal practice and now works as a real estate developer, while remaining Of Counsel so Jacobson Press attorneys may consult with him regarding client matters. His decades of trial, appellate, commercial, labor, and automobile franchise experience continue to provide the firm with practical insight into complex business disputes and litigation strategy.
