Alissa Gearhart

Alissa Gearhart is the founder and lead attorney of her law office in La Salle, Illinois. Her practice includes family law, personal injury, workers’ compensation, bankruptcy, and civil litigation. She has represented individuals and businesses in state and federal matters and brings experience from insurance-defense litigation. Her work includes divorce, custody, support, injury claims, work injuries, debt relief, and other disputes requiring negotiation, litigation, or trial preparation.

Alissa earned a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, where she participated in the honors legal program after receiving a Presidential Scholarship. She previously graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian from the State University of New York. Her academic background supports a broad litigation practice that requires legal research, written advocacy, client counseling, negotiation, and careful evaluation of evidence across family, injury, workers’ compensation, and financial matters.

Alissa has represented businesses throughout Illinois and previously served as Chicago counsel to a major insurance company and its subsidiaries. She has substantial trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. Her current work includes family cases involving divorce, parenting issues, child support, adoption, and protection orders, as well as personal injury, workers’ compensation, and bankruptcy matters. She provides pro bono legal counsel to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.

Alissa Gearhart is actively licensed in Illinois and has been practicing since 2004. She has served in professional and community roles that include the Illinois State Bar Association, La Salle Rotary Club, and local zoning and planning bodies.
