About

Alexander Flores is Senior Counsel in Singleton Schreiber’s Albuquerque office, where he represents individuals and families in serious personal injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, car crash, trucking, and other negligence cases. His practice also includes civil rights, wildfire litigation, environmental litigation, mass torts, and federal claims. Before joining the firm, he spent more than a decade as a federal prosecutor and handled significant criminal, appellate, supervisory, and trial responsibilities in New Mexico.

Flores earned a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law, an M.P.A. in Domestic Policy from Princeton University, and a B.A. in Public Policy and Political Science, cum laude, from the George Washington University. In law school, he received the Dean’s Award and Faculty Award. His education in law and public policy supports a practice involving complex litigation, government institutions, federal claims, civil rights, and disputes that require detailed statutory and factual analysis.

Flores previously served as a Supervisory Assistant US Attorney and co-led the Indian Country Crimes Section. Before becoming a supervisor, he prosecuted nearly 200 federal felony cases, argued appeals before the Tenth Circuit, and tried seventeen federal jury trials. He also served as a Marine judge advocate and later in the New Mexico Air National Guard. His current work includes federal wildfire claims and civil rights matters involving unlawful detention and government conduct.

Alexander Flores serves as Co-Chair of the New Mexico Commission on Access to Justice and has held leadership roles in the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association. He is admitted in New Mexico and Arizona and before several federal courts. His practice combines plaintiff-side injury work with extensive prosecution, military justice, appellate, and public-service experience, giving him a broad foundation for cases involving serious injuries, governmental responsibility, civil rights, and complex federal litigation.
