Alexander D. Brown

Alexander D. Brown is a Florida litigation and entertainment attorney at The Concept Law Group, P.A., whose practice includes intellectual property disputes, complex commercial cases, media agreements, and appellate lawsuits and disputes. As a partner, he represents clients in conflicts involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, false advertising, insurance coverage, and federal Lanham Act claims. He has also negotiated employment and other media agreements involving major broadcasting and entertainment companies. His courtroom work has produced more than $60 million in jury verdicts, settlements, and final judgments.

Mr. Brown earned a B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Barry University. He later received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, graduating in the top four percent of his class. During law school, he served as senior staff editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law and competitions coordinator for the Moot Court Honor Society. He also received the Goodwin Scholar award and earned first place for oral advocacy at the E. Earle Zehmer Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Brown has handled significant intellectual property trials and appeals. His experience includes a patent infringement case that resulted in a $15 million jury verdict, followed by additional punitive damages, attorney fees, and interest. He also helped secure a $26 million jury award in a trade secret and copyright dispute. Before private practice, he served as a staff attorney for a Florida appellate judge, clerked for a federal magistrate judge, and worked in the economic crimes section of the US Attorney’s Office in Miami.

Alexander D. Brown is admitted in Florida and Georgia, several federal district courts, and the US Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh and Federal Circuits. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has received repeated recognition from Florida Super Lawyers, Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, and the Daily Business Review. His litigation background, appellate experience, and understanding of entertainment and intellectual property law support a strategic approach to high-stakes disputes.
