Alexander Bondurant

Alexander Bondurant is a Jackson attorney and partner at Adams and Reese LLP, whose practice centers on forestry, real estate law, energy, oil and gas, and renewable energy matters. He represents forestry clients across the Southeast in transactional, title, and land-related matters. His work includes sales and acquisitions involving commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and timberland in several states. He handles forestry contracts, real estate agreements, carbon marketing agreements, and other carbon credit matters. He assists timberland investment management organizations and real estate investment trusts with transactions, title services, deeds, and closing documents.

Alexander earned his B.A., cum laude, from the Croft Institute for International Studies at the University of Mississippi. He later received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law. His academic background combined international studies with formal legal training and journal experience.

Alexander has substantial experience in oil and gas law, including title examination, leasehold opinions, mineral rights, royalty transfers, and interest assignments. He advises clients on well permitting and represents them in matters before the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board. His litigation experience includes oil and gas disputes, adverse possession claims, boundary disputes, subdivision covenants, and other title-related matters. He works with landowners and operators on carbon capture and sequestration projects, wind leases, solar leases, and alternative energy developments.

Alexander Bondurant is a Partner and is admitted to practice in Mississippi and Arkansas. Before entering legal practice, he worked as a petroleum landman and title abstracter. He has served as President of the Mississippi Oil and Gas Lawyers Association and Associate Director of the Mississippi Association of Petroleum Landmen.
