Alex M. Brucker is a veteran ERISA attorney with nearly five decades of experience in employee benefits law, litigation, and advisory services. Since beginning his career in 1974, he has focused on helping clients navigate complex regulatory systems and maintain compliance with evolving benefit plan requirements.
Alex earned a juris doctor from Whittier Law School in 1974 after completing his undergraduate studies. He was admitted to the practice of law in 1974, marking the start of a long-standing career dedicated to employee benefits law and ERISA-related legal matters.
Alex concentrates on ERISA compliance and frequently advises organizations on structuring and managing employee benefit plans. He also serves as counsel and co-counsel in ERISA and tax litigation, assisting clients involved in disputes related to retirement and welfare plans in various legal proceedings.
Alex has also served as an expert witness in both Federal and State Courts, providing detailed insight into ERISA-related issues. His work supports cases involving fiduciary duties, compliance challenges, and plan administration, helping courts better understand technical legal frameworks.
Alex has contributed to legislative efforts through his involvement with the Small Business Council of America (SBCA). From 2008 through 2010, he worked with the Senate Finance Committee to address IRS penalty concerns affecting small businesses and their owners.
Alex is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC) and has held leadership roles within the SBCA. He has also lectured extensively at conferences, educating professionals on ERISA litigation, fiduciary responsibilities, and regulatory enforcement topics.
