About
Alex Gross is an attorney at Hawley Troxell in Boise, Idaho, and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Business & Corporate practice groups. His experience covers real estate, land use and development, planning and zoning, corporate matters, and transactional law. He brings perspective from both private practice and public service, helping clients address legal questions that arise in property development, business operations, governmental approvals, and transactions involving land or corporate interests.
Gross earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2016 and a B.A. magna cum laude in Human Communication and French from the University of Denver in 2011, with a minor in Leadership. He was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa. His education supports a practice that requires clear communication, careful analysis of contracts and public regulations, and practical coordination of legal, business, development, and planning considerations.
Before joining Hawley Troxell, Gross gained experience in private practice and public service, most recently serving as Administrator and Civil Attorney for the Boise County Planning and Zoning Department. That role provided direct exposure to planning, zoning, land use, and governmental processes affecting property owners and developers. He is admitted in Idaho, Colorado, and Montana, and his broader background supports work involving real estate transactions, development approvals, corporate matters, and related regulatory issues.
Alex Gross also serves the community as a District Commissioner and Chairman of the Board for the East Boise County EMS District, volunteers as an EMT, and has provided pro bono legal service to the former East Boise County Ambulance District. His combination of legal practice, public-sector experience, and community service gives him a practical understanding of how real estate, business, and local government issues intersect for clients pursuing development, transactions, and long-term operational goals.
