Alex Bartko

Alex Bartko is the founder of AB Law in Atlanta, Georgia, where he focuses on business and commercial litigation, investigations, and legal advisory work. He represents businesses, executives, and other clients in disputes involving contracts, shareholder and investor issues, fiduciary duties, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, real estate, fraud, and defamation. Bartko also advises businesses on legal risks before disputes escalate and handles matters from pre-suit negotiations through trials and appeals.

Bartko earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 2008 and a J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law in 2011. At Emory, he participated in the Moot Court Society, was appointed to the Order of Barristers, and received awards for academic excellence. His accounting background and legal training support his ability to analyze financial issues, business relationships, damages, and complex records in commercial disputes.

Before founding AB Law, Bartko spent 11 years in private practice in Atlanta and later served for two and a half years as lead litigation counsel for a major corporation. His representative work includes favorable jury verdicts in executive compensation and contract disputes, dismissal of claims against an aerospace company, defense results for businesses and professionals, and matters involving fraud, products liability, procurement challenges, real estate disputes, and business contracts.

Alex Bartko is admitted to practice in Georgia and before the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the Georgia appellate courts, and the Eleventh Circuit. He has taught advanced trial techniques at Emory Law and has presented and written on litigation, privilege, and risk management. Bartko is also a graduate of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy and remains active in Atlanta legal organizations, combining litigation experience with practical business-focused counsel.
