Kathryn T. Allen

Kathryn T. Allen is a Texas and Missouri lawyer and Technology Transactions Vice Chair at Polsinelli, whose practice focuses on technology transactions, data privacy, information security, and intellectual property. She advises clients on technology licensing, software agreements, cybersecurity concerns, trademark matters, copyrights, and intellectual property commercialization. Kathryn earned her B.A. from Texas Christian University. She later received her J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law. Her legal education prepared her for a career involving corporate counseling, regulatory compliance, technology agreements, privacy issues, and intellectual property matters. She was admitted to practice in Texas in 2011 and Missouri in 2015.

Kathryn began her legal career as an in-house attorney, giving her direct experience with the legal needs of business organizations. She previously served as Associate Corporate Counsel for a financial services data and analytics company in Dallas. In that role, she supported more than ten business lines through advisory, transactional, regulatory, and compliance work. Her current practice includes data security plans, privacy policies, vendor agreements, SaaS contracts, cloud arrangements, and licensing transactions.

Kathryn T. Allen also advises clients on trademark selection, clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management.
