About
Alex Aggen is a partner at Hunter Law Group in Prairie Village, Kansas. His practice focuses on real estate transactions, disputes, permitting, and municipal land-use matters. He represents individuals, businesses, and local governments dealing with property agreements and regulatory issues. His work includes commercial litigation, contract negotiation, corporate matters, and administrative hearings. He advises clients whose real estate projects face legal or approval challenges and seeks workable ways to move transactions forward.
Alex earned a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. During law school, he participated in the Michigan Innocence Clinic and the Child Welfare Appellate Clinic. These experiences provided opportunities to work on legal research and advocacy. His academic training, coupled with experience involving local government, supports an approach to real estate matters that considers contracts, procedure, and public regulations.
Before joining Hunter Law Group, Alex served as an assistant city attorney for a growing Kansas municipality. He advised the city’s Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals, and assisted with questions involving city codes and business regulation. He brings that experience to clients handling permits, zoning matters, and administrative processes. His practice also includes contract negotiations and litigation when real estate transactions or commercial relationships become disputed.
Alex is admitted to practice in Kansas and Missouri and is fluent in Spanish. He serves on the board of the Johnson County Bar Association and graduated from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy. He also belongs to the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Alex Aggen combines public-sector land-use experience with real estate transactional and litigation work for clients managing property-related challenges.
