Alan H. Meincke

Alan H. Meincke is the founder and Managing Member of Meincke Houston Family Law, LLC. A second-generation family law attorney, he focuses his practice on complex domestic relations matters, including divorce, custody and support modifications, legitimation, adoption, prenuptial agreements, and appellate work. His practice spans across Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, and Dawson Counties.

Alan earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011. He previously completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 2007. His combined legal and business education gives him strong analytical and negotiation skills essential in high-stakes family law disputes.

Recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2022 through 2025, Alan is regarded among the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 in Georgia. Before founding his own firm, he was a partner at both a multi-regional firm and an Atlanta-based litigation practice. Alan offers extensive representation in both trial and appellate courts. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a registered domestic and civil mediator and serves as a Barrister in the Hon. Marion T. Pope, Jr. American Inn of Court.
