Alaina B. Wartman

Alaina B. Wartman is an associate at Eckert Seamans in Philadelphia whose practice centers on corporate transactions in the hospitality and gaming industries. She works with real estate development companies, investors, and hotel management companies on agreements involving the financing, development, management, and licensing of hotel assets. Her work also includes reviewing and negotiating operational hotel agreements, including services agreements, group sales agreements, and leases for hotel space.

Alaina brings business and tax experience to her corporate practice. Before joining the firm, she worked as a tax associate at a large accounting firm, helping clients identify tax refund or remediation opportunities, prepare tax appeals, and conduct due diligence. Before practicing law, she worked in finance for a large privately held hotel company, where she implemented and improved auditing and accounting procedures and gained direct exposure to hospitality operations.

Alaina B. Wartman has also completed legal internships with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Department of Justice Tax Division, and Chief Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
