About
Adam K. Peck is a partner with Lightfoot, Franklin & White in Birmingham and a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. Peck handles Environmental & Toxic Torts, Product Liability, Catastrophic Injury, Fire & Explosion, and Commercial Litigation matters. He has tried cases in multiple states and represents clients in disputes involving alleged contamination, industrial products, serious injuries, fires, explosions, and other technically complex claims with substantial factual and damages issues.
Peck earned a J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School, where he was a Patrick Wilson Scholar and served on the Vanderbilt Law Review. He received a B.A., magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. His academic background supports a trial practice that often requires detailed legal research, close analysis of scientific and technical evidence, and clear presentation of complicated issues to judges and juries.
Peck’s representative work includes one of Alabama’s longest-running environmental contamination trials and a mass-tort matter involving approximately 1,600 coal miners and a chemical manufacturer. He has also handled fire and business-interruption disputes, propane-fire investigations, and product-related fire and scalding claims. These matters can require expert testimony, scientific evidence, causation analysis, product history, damages evaluation, and coordinated strategy across large groups of claims or extended trial records.
Adam K. Peck is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation. His practice reflects decades of courtroom work involving environmental claims, toxic exposure, product liability, catastrophic injury, and fire investigations. He helps clients evaluate technical evidence, prepare experts and witnesses, develop trial strategy, and manage complex litigation in which scientific questions and substantial potential exposure must be translated into clear legal arguments.
