About
Aaron Tucker is a partner at Holland & Hart LLP with offices in Denver, Colorado, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. He advises clients on environmental compliance, enforcement, and litigation, with a particular focus on air quality. His practice addresses permitting and regulatory issues during project development, operation, and closure. He also assists energy and natural resource clients with carbon capture, utilization, and storage projects.
Aaron earned a B.A. from Middlebury College in 2007 and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2013. He previously worked at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, representing its Office of Public Interest Counsel. That background connects legal training with direct experience in administrative proceedings, including rulemaking, enforcement, and contested hearings concerning air, water, and waste permits.
Aaron represents clients before federal and state environmental agencies and counsels on environmental audits. His experience includes successful appeals of adverse Title V permitting decisions and an unfavorable greenhouse gas determination. He also advises on Class VI permitting for geologic carbon sequestration. This work involves examining permit requirements, regulatory decisions, and project risks so clients can address environmental obligations throughout a facility’s development and use.
Aaron Tucker has received Chambers USA recognition in Environment and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America recognition in Environmental Law. He is admitted in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. His professional activities include the Colorado Bar Association’s Environmental Section and the Institute for Energy Law’s Young Energy Professional Advisory Board. His practice combines agency experience with guidance on the regulatory issues affecting energy operations and environmental projects.
