About
Adam C. Van Dike is a member of BrownWinick whose practice focuses primarily on real estate and creditor’s rights. Van Dike advises clients on commercial and residential real estate transactions, leasing, sales and acquisitions, platting, site planning, zoning and land use, title issues, and related disputes. His creditor’s-rights work includes mortgage foreclosure and bankruptcy matters, giving him experience with both transactions and enforcement when payment or property obligations become contested.
Van Dike earned a B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1998 and a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2001. Before joining BrownWinick, he practiced at a smaller Des Moines firm where his work included real estate, creditor’s rights, and litigation. His education and earlier practice provided a foundation for analyzing property records, loan documents, contracts, land-use requirements, and the procedural rules that govern foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate disputes.
Van Dike assists clients with property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and property management, real estate development and finance, construction-related agreements, zoning, and title matters. When disputes arise, his practice extends to real estate and construction litigation and creditor enforcement. His experience with mortgage foreclosure and bankruptcy matters helps lenders and other creditors evaluate remedies, protect collateral interests, and navigate court-supervised processes that can affect property and repayment rights.
Adam C. Van Dike brings transactional and litigation experience to real estate and creditor’s-rights matters in Iowa. Van Dike’s practice allows him to advise clients from the beginning of a property or financing transaction through later enforcement or dispute resolution if problems arise. His work emphasizes careful documentation, attention to title and land-use issues, and practical strategy when a matter involves foreclosure, bankruptcy, construction, or other property-related claims.
