Aaron D. Bernard

Aaron D. Bernard is the Founder and Principal Attorney of The Bernard Firm PLC. His legal practice focuses on immigration and employment law, with an emphasis on helping businesses navigate complex immigration requirements. He works with employers on temporary worker programs, compliance issues, and visa matters that support workforce needs.

Aaron earned his law degree from Notre Dame Law School. After graduation, he passed the bar exam in both Arizona and Iowa and began working with several established immigration law firms in Iowa. He also served as General Counsel for Alewelt Inc., where he gained additional experience addressing legal issues related to employment and business operations.

Aaron’s practice centers on business immigration matters. He regularly assists employers with H-2A agricultural visas, H-2B temporary non-agricultural visas, and TN visas for qualified professionals. He also handles consular processing for various visa categories, administrative appeals, employment immigration compliance, and wage-and-hour matters related to labor programs.

Aaron frequently speaks at professional events and seminars on immigration law and corporate immigration compliance. Through these presentations, he shares insights on workforce regulations, visa programs, and legal responsibilities for employers hiring foreign workers.

Aaron is an active member of several professional organizations. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2004 and also participates in the Iowa State Bar Association and the Story County Bar Association. He is additionally involved with the National Pork Producers Labor Security Council.
