Zach Lange

Zach Lange is a Junior Partner at JBJ Legal in Indianapolis, Indiana. His practice includes business and government counsel, contract drafting and negotiation, business formation, commercial transactions, regulatory matters, corporate governance, and economic development. He advises public entities and private organizations on legal questions that affect operations and strategic projects. His background includes both government service and transactional business representation.

Zach earned a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2015 and a B.A. from Transylvania University in 2011. In law school, he worked in an entrepreneurship development clinic and completed a compliance legal externship with an athletics department. These experiences complement his subsequent work with businesses, public bodies, and regulated organizations that need clear counsel on legal structure and operational rules.

Zach previously served as assistant county attorney for Johnson County, Indiana, and worked at a firm advising businesses and Fort Wayne City Council. His matters have included transportation funding changes, tax increment financing negotiations, fire protection district mergers, collective bargaining ordinance negotiations, and review of a law enforcement merit board. He also worked for the NCAA as a legislative analyst and postgraduate intern.

Zach Lange became JBJ Legal’s first Junior Partner on July 1, 2026. He is admitted in Indiana and Ohio and belongs to the Indiana State Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Association. His experience with county government, municipal legal matters, business transactions, and athletics compliance gives him perspective on how public and private interests interact. He helps clients evaluate agreements, regulatory requirements, and the legal steps involved in carrying out economic development or organizational initiatives.
