Zach Intrater

Zach Intrater is a highly respected criminal defense attorney with extensive experience in federal and white-collar crime cases. As a founding partner at Agnifilo Intrater LLP, he provides strong legal representation to individuals facing complex criminal investigations and prosecutions. Zach earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago in 1999. He then pursued legal education at New York University School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 2003. After law school, he gained valuable experience clerking for the Honorable Michael A. Chagares of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Honorable Berle M. Schiller of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Zach Intrater’s legal career spans both prosecution and defense. He spent three years as a litigation associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP, handling high-stakes corporate litigation. He then served eleven years at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, specializing in white-collar criminal cases. He held key leadership positions as a federal prosecutor, including Chief and Deputy Chief of the General Crimes Unit and Deputy Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit.

Zach served as an Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney, where he helped oversee major investigations and prosecutions. He later brought that experience to Brafman & Associates, P.C., a premier criminal defense firm, before co-founding Agnifilo Intrater LLP.

Throughout his career, Zach Intrater has successfully defended clients in high-profile fraud, corruption, healthcare, and financial crime cases. He has secured case dismissals, favorable settlements, and non-prosecution agreements for many individuals under federal investigation. His courtroom experience and negotiation skills have helped numerous clients avoid criminal charges or receive reduced sentences.
