William Patrick York II is a seasoned attorney with over a decade of experience in immigration, civil rights, litigation, and advocacy for immigrant workers. His practice encompasses humanitarian and family-based immigration, appeals, and employment law, representing clients in state and federal courts with dedication and precision.

Mr. York earned his Juris Doctor in 2011 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, receiving a Certificate of Concentration in Litigation with Honors. During law school, he contributed to international legal research for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and competed on the national moot court team. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Communications (News-Editorial) from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2008, graduating summa cum laude. His undergraduate studies also included a minor in Business Administration and a Certificate of Proficiency in French Language and Literature.

Mr. York launched his legal career in high-impact roles, serving as general counsel for Workers’ Dignity, where he advocated for immigrant and low-wage workers’ rights. He went on to work as a contract attorney with Barrett Johnston Martin & Garrison before founding his own law practice. Today, his legal work remains focused on civil justice, immigrant rights, and protecting vulnerable workers.

William Patrick York II is admitted to the Tennessee Bar and authorized to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Executive Office for Immigration Review under the U.S. Department of Justice.

A dedicated advocate, Mr. York engages in extensive pro bono work supporting prisoners, unhoused individuals, LGBTQ communities, and immigrant families. He is a longtime member of the National Lawyers Guild and a board member for educational nonprofits in the South. Fluent in French and Spanish, he provides accessible and culturally competent legal representation to clients from diverse backgrounds.
