William M. Butler, Jr. is a seasoned criminal defense attorney with over 35 years of courtroom experience. William began his academic journey at Millersburg Military Institute, graduating in 1968. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky in 1972, with a double major in Economics and Political Science. In 1986, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville College of Law and was admitted to practice in Kentucky that same year.

William is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions including Kentucky State Court, several U.S. District Courts across Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, South Carolina, Montana, and New York.
